A Walk in the Park

Every 3 minutes, a person in Canada is diagnosed with diabetes. This means that approximately 3,258,823 people have been diagnosed with some form of diabetes since I was diagnosed with Type 1 over 18 years ago.

Diabetes continues to grow in prevalence, impact quality of life, and cause complications for those living with diabetes and the people who care about them. Contrary to my team name, it's not a walk in the park.

That’s why I’m Lacing Up to walk at Nose Creek Park on November 14, World Diabetes Day! You are invited to join my team, donate at your discretion, and go for a walk in the park with me.
