This is our movement to end diabetes

Spend your September with people across Canada who are challenging themselves and their team to #LaceUpYourWay! Together, we will cover thousands of kilometres to raise funds for 1 in 3 Canadians affected by diabetes or prediabetes.

Ways to participate

Lace Up to End Diabetes anyway you like! You choose the movement and you set the pace. Fundraise on your own or start a team of fundraisers who are committed to Lacing Up in support of the work led by Diabetes Canada.

Fundraise on your own! Create a personal fundraising page to set a goal and share it with your supporters. Connect with other Lacers by using #LaceUpYourWay on social media and by downloading the Lace Up app.

Recruit a team of friends and family and receive a team spirit pack when your team receives its first donation. Keep each other motivated by setting team goals for your fundraising and your movement! The team fundraising page will tally the donations members collect through their personal pages.

Rally your coworkers for a team-building experience that you can do together (or while socially distanced) and receive a team spirit pack. Set personal distance goals, start some friendly competition with others, or bond over taking the 100k Challenge together!

Level up your Lace Up

We invite you to lead the race to end diabetes by raising at least $1,000 through your #LaceUpYourWay challenge. When you do, you’ll be recognized as one of our VIPs (Very Important Philanthropists) and enjoy lots of exclusive perks.

Our most dedicated Lacers receive a finishers’ medal when they move a total of 100 kilometres of activity on the Lace Up app. We’ve done the math, and it works out to be about 3.3 km each day in the month of September.
