New to online fundraising? Don’t sweat it! We’re here to help you every step of the way. Check out these tips to kick-start your efforts:
Lead the pack
It’s all about walking the talk. Show your commitment to the cause by going the distance as a fundraiser. Share your story about why you Lace Up
on your fundraising page and add a picture of you or your loved one.
Ask around
Raising funds is ultimately a numbers game. Start by asking five or 10 people who you think are likely to donate. Start with anyone else you know who is impacted by diabetes or prediabetes.
Set a goal
Let everyone know what you’re working towards! Set a fundraising goal on your page. This helps supporters see how much they need to donate to get you closer to your target. You will earn your Goal Getter badge when you achieve it!
Cook up something new
Bringing a little creativity to your fundraising can give you a huge leg up. Try offering incentives to your supporters who donate, such as moving a kilometre (or more!) in their honour or sharing your favourite healthy recipes.
