My Campfire Fund!



The goal of the D-Camps program is to create a sense of belonging and community in which children, youth and families living with type 1 diabetes learn skills to manage their condition while feeling supported and connected.  

The newly created “My Campfire Fund,” is an innovative way for families to contribute to helping their children and others living with type 1 diabetes to experience the benefits of D-Camps. 



How does it work?


We know that camp is an invaluable part of helping children, youth and families live well with diabetes, but the fees can sometimes be overwhelming.  Starting this year, instead of paying your camp fee, we are offering a simple option for families to raise money to help cover the cost of going to camp, through friends, family and their community. 

Your contribution through the My Campfire Fund will complement the fundraising efforts of Diabetes Canada, who annually pays for approximately two-thirds of the cost of camp.  This will help reduce the strain on our fee subsidy program, allowing more children to experience summer camp with D-Camps.

If you are looking to support your camp with general fundraising, My Campfire Fund allows you to do that as well.  Simply click on General Fundraising when you enter your registration information and all funds you raise will support the program as a whole, contributing to a more sustainable and quality camp program for all children living with type 1 diabetes.
