Cheyenne grew up in the Philippines, where managing Type 1 diabetes came with many challenges—limited resources, little awareness, and stigma that made it tough to navigate. She was lucky to have a strong support system, but she knows not everyone has that. That’s why she’s excited to be part of Calgary's Pump Couture Fashion Show for the first time, helping raise funds to send kids with Type 1 diabetes to D-Camps—a place where they can build confidence, learn to manage their condition, and find a community that truly understands them.
Cheyenne is new to diabetes advocacy, it took time for her to learn how to fully embrace her condition. Now, she wants to help empower others facing the same challenges. If she can inspire even one kid to feel more confident in themselves and their journey, that’s all that matters.
Outside of advocacy, Cheyenne finds pure joy in dogs—the way they live in the moment, love unconditionally, and never hold back their excitement. They remind her to embrace life with that same energy. She’s also inspired by Caitlin Clark of the Indiana Fever—not just for her talent but for the way she lifts others up, sets the bar high, and plays with fearlessness. That’s the mindset Cheyenne brings into everything she does—pushing herself to be better while making sure others rise with her.
Through every challenge, Cheyenne refuses to let anything dim her light. She believes in showing up fully, breaking barriers, and proving that nothing is impossible. She lives by the simple but powerful words of a song she always carries with her: "This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine."
