Michael Simpson, the Peterborough Petes starting goalie, was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when he was just 3 years old. Growing up he spent his time going to London Knights games looking up to Max Domi who is also a competitive hockey player with type 1. Going into his 4th year with the Petes, Michael wanted to give back to the community just like Max. Michael has started a personal initiative to help raise money for kids in the Peterborough community to have the opportunity to go to D-camp.
With the support of the Peterborough Petes Mike has teamed up with Diabetes Canada and Tandem Diabetes Care for a Diabetes Awareness game on November 24th.
Take action and help Michael Simpson reach his goal to help send children in your community to Diabetes Canada's medically supervised D-Camps program!
Are you ready? #LetsEndDiabetes now!
Thank you in advance for your support.
