January 5th 2025 I went into DKA and my life changed forever and after 6 days in the hospital, I go home with Type 1 diabetes forever. Although there is a massive change in my life now, I cannot believe how lucky I was, being in DKA was an absolute roller-coaster not only physically but emotionally. I am so grateful to God, all the nurses, doctors and especially my family and friends. One day at a time is all I can handle now but to have that opportunity is a miracle. Thank you to everyone donating I hope to have the longest life I can, even if it means having bad days to remember and appreciate the good ones.
