I am participating in the Lace Up for Diabetes Walk in Brockville on Saturday, October 4, 2025 in support of my grandson Cohen. Cohen was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes when he was 3 years old. We have been on this journey with him for the past 2 years and he has been a trouper through it all. Every 3 minutes, a person in Canada is diagnosed with diabetes. Diabetes is not slowing down.
Diabetes continues to grow in prevalence, impact quality of life, and cause complications for those living with diabetes and the people who care about them.
