I remember as a kid how my grandmother (Ammachi) was one of the first people to get at-home dialysis in Canada due to living with diabetes. The regular hospital visits ensuring Ammachi was okay. Ever since then, most of our extended family members now also live with diabetes. In fact, every 3 minutes, a person in Canada is diagnosed with diabetes. Diabetes is not slowing down.
Diabetes continues to grow in prevalence, impact quality of life, and cause complications for those living with diabetes and the people who care about them.
