Jessica's Blue Crew

Jessica's good friend Ember was recently diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes and it has been a steep learning curve for everybody on living with this condition.

One of things that Ember says is hard is that, although 10 per cent of people living with diabetes have type 1, there is less awareness than there is with other life-affecting conditions so when Jess was picking her running challenge for 2024 she knew that she wanted to raise not only funds, but also awareness.

Jessica has set herself the goal of running 366km throughout 2024, the equivalent of 1km every day. 

Her plans for the year include completing the Vancouver Sun Run and getting as many of her friends and family to run with her throughout the year as possible.
