I am lacing up to run 4km a day for 25 days in September for Diabetes Canada in support of Aven my 5 year old grand niece who was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes last December. I am hoping with funds raised that one day she will not have to rely on 4 needles a day and/or the use of a pump. I need your support to help make this happen!
4km a day for 25 days to raise $2500 to eliminate 4 needles a day.
Over the last 100 years since the discovery of insulin, we have made great strides in helping people living with diabetes. But insulin is not a cure and diabetes is not slowing down. Diabetes continues to grow in prevalence, cause devastating complications or death, and impact the quality of life for those living with diabetes and the people who care about them.
That's why I'm Lacing Up to help bring us one step closer to a cure. Please help me make a lasting difference by donating to my page.
Every dollar raised helps fund education, support services, advocacy and diabetes research that could lead to the next big medical breakthrough.
Please show your support by helping me reach my fundraising goal. Check back often to see updates on my progress.
Thank you for cheering me on!
