Run or Hike!  It's up to you!

The SSE Airtricity Dublin Marathon is now the fourth largest marathon in Europe behind Berlin, London & Paris with over 19,500 participants for 2016

Join Team Diabetes in Ireland’s capital city, Dublin! The Dublin Marathon is a marathon in the truest sense. The historic course, which is largely flat, is a single loop around the city and takes you through many of Dublin’s Georgian streets and the picturesque Phoenix Park.

If hiking to the top of Ireland's tallest mountain range was easy, EVERYONE would do it. But few people will ever see The Wicklow Mountains from the top! YOU CAN!

South of Dublin lie beautiful deep river valleys, ancient burial grounds, historical sites and stunning granite mountains. Join Team Diabetes and Conquer The Mountain on an exclusive private hiking adventure at a pace that is just right for you.

There are Three trails from which to choose!

  • A self-paced 4-5 hour valley hike around two beautiful lakes on a wide flat track.
  • A challenging 6- 8 hour hike with a 600 meter ascent to Mullacar Summit and overlook, across the Spinc, past a beautiful waterfall and back down to the Glendalough Valley below.
  • A very challenging 7 - 9 hour trek with an 800 meter ascent past Mullacar Summit into uncharted territory and then steeply down the path to an ancient village, past an old mining camp and into the Glendalough Valley and lakes below.

All the hikes are led by professional interpretive local guides and hosted by The Walking Connection. The hikes operate on the same day as the Dublin Marathon and are perfect for families and hikers of all levels.
