Ontario D-Camps Staff Lemonade Stand
Thanks for supporting us in sending more kids living with type 1 diabetes to D-Camps!
Type 1 diabetes is a chronic disease with no cure and affects roughly 1 in 300 children in Canada. This number continues to grow every year. At D-Camps, children develop a sense of independence through active outdoor activities such as swimming, hiking, campfires and canoeing. Additionally, with the careful guidance of camp & medical staff children learn to independently self-manage their diabetes (including: checking blood sugar levels, carb counting at meal times and administering their proper insulin dosage). These are necessary skills that will last a lifetime.
Camp is a special place to us all and we couldn't do it without your support. Camp Huronda, located in Huntsville, Ontario, supports campers ages 7-17 throughout the summer and families throughout the year at our various family camp programs. We appreciate your generosity in helping us achieve our goal!
